Candacraig House

Sporting Interests

Aberdeenshire is famous for its sporting pursuits and Candacraig is no exception.

Guests enjoy exclusive use of our 18 acre estate during their stay. Learn to fly fish on our very own lochan or, for the more accomplished angler, there’s the thrilling prospect of casting your line in a private and secluded fishery on the celebrated River Don, with fishing tuition available from a local ghillie. We are set within the amazing Cairngorms National Park where you can go enjoy hill walking, mountain biking, kayaking and a vast array of active pursuits including 4x4 off-roading, and even axe throwing to set your pulse racing.

With Scotland famous for being the home of golf, it should not surprise you to hear that Aberdeen City and Shire is blessed with over 50 courses, ranging from stunning links to lush parkland venues. Nearby Royal Aberdeen, Fraserburgh and Trump International Golf Links rank among some of the best golf courses in Scotland.

If you are here in the winter, add great skiing and snowboarding to your agenda which are 11 miles away at The Lecht Ski range.
